Preparing for LAUNCH Day

Dear Highland Park Family,

 

Three weeks from tomorrow, Sunday morning, September 9th, I’m going to launch a fresh vision for Highland Park Baptist Church.  Words can’t express how excited I am about where we are going.  On LAUNCH Day, we will begin our worship service at 10:30.  Sunday school will be dismissed early that day so we can all gather together for this exciting time.

 

As our church family prepares for this momentous occasion, there are three things you can do:

 

(1) Pray.  Pray for the new vision God has placed upon the hearts of our church’s leadership to be grasped by the entire congregation.  Pray that God’s church would expand through the plans that will be unveiled on this date.

 

(2) Embrace the Vision.  There are three primary responsibilities for a pastor: lead, feed, and care for the flock.  When I LAUNCH this vision, I’m primarily fulfilling the leading responsibility.  As God called me to serve as your pastor five months ago, I need you to buy into this vision.  Embrace it and follow it!  Our whole church needs to rally behind the same plan that God has placed upon my heart and the hearts of our key leaders.

 

(3) Invite others.  Your family members, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances need to come to church for this big day.  There is no better time to invite other people to experience the excitement of life with Jesus Christ than to hear of everything I foresee our church accomplishing through this fresh vision.
